Where do I even start. My mom was having horrid stomach pains and we got to the ER at 6:30pm. We were sent to sit in the hallway to wait to be moved to a triage room. 2 1/2 hours later we were finally... more moved to a room. However, we seemed to be invisible to every nurse and doctor. We got to the triage room at 9pm and didn’t see a single nurse or doctor for another two hours. I went out in the hall to see what was going on and taking so long and I see nurses standing around talking, and finally, after hours, the doctor comes in and spends 5 minutes with my mom. He orders a few tests which takes literally hours to get done. Finally, at 3am, we get the results back and it turned out that she needed surgery which they did at 9am, so obviously her case was extremely emergent and here they had us sitting in triage for 9 hours. Great hospital, huh? My point is that if you ever need to go to the ER, do NOT go to Winchester Hosptial. Terrible service. We got there at 6:30 pm and didn’t leave until 3:30am. Absolutely absurd. No ER visit should be 9 hours, and it wasn’t even that busy.
