G'day, I had a total left knee replacement performed by Professor Michael Niel at St. Vincent's Private Hospital on April 24th. I spent 5 days there and then was transferred to Wolper on a gurney. Nine... more days later I walked out with the assistance of a stick. I got home and was able to climb the 16 steps up to our second floor where our bedroom and bathroom are located. I followed up with outpatient physio for four weeks and as of today (August 17th.) the knee is a bit stiff, however, there's NO pain. I continue to do physio at home. My right knee will require replacement and I can assure you that it will be done by Professor Niel at St. Vincent's Private and rehab / physio will be at Wolper!
